In 2010, Hollywood called and the aircraft was hired for a star role in a Musical Production “Soldier of Orange”.
During the transport over the road, the deep loader transport truck crashed it’s precious vintage cargo on top of a fly-over bridge. The port engine hit the central concrete wall, ironically built in 1944 by the German occupying forces. This, unfortunately, ended her role in the Musical prematurely.
The central wing section sheared off from the fuselage, rendering the aircraft a total loss.
